Laura co-founded Litholink Corporation, a healthcare company serving over 350,000 patients per month nationally. When Litholink sold to a Fortune 500 company, she left corporate America to pursue lifelong passions.
Even while working in corporate healthcare, Laura always specialized in breaking down complex concepts for to make them easy to digest, understand, and apply. Now she channels that unique skill into “translating” philosophy and ancient wisdom – breaking down monumental, life-changing wisdom in a way that everyone can apply to their own lives.
Laura currently devotes her energy toward writing, coaching, helping others implement spiritual teachings in their everyday lives. Her first book, Emotional Obesity, is available for purchase. And now she is the host of the popular podcast, The Art of Authenticity.
I am an author, coach and happy to say I am finally living a life that is perfect for me. But that was not always the case…
Several years ago, I was 30,000 feet in the air with tears running down my cheeks. On the surface, I had everything most people would associate with success: I’d built a multimillion dollar business and sold it to a Fortune 500 company; I had a loving partner and a beautiful three-year-old; I was even teaching yoga classes on the side.
All the boxes were checked…but underneath, something still wasn’t right.
Why was I unfulfilled even if I had achieved the things we equate with success? Because my pursuit of success wasn’t based on an inner sense of purpose or fulfillment but on others’ definitions of success. All the justifications to remain in a life that I hadn’t chosen from my authentic voice had piled on in layers over the years until I had lost my true self somewhere deep inside. I had become emotionally obese. But what was I going to do about it?
On that one plane ride, I made one of the most important decisions of my life. I committed to finding something more authentic. Who knew I was diving into something so complicated?
After diving back into my passion, philosophy, I took action based on what the ancients said about a life of purpose. Now I take those ancient ideas and help others through coaching, my podcast The Art of Authenticity, and writing. My hope is that everyone can uncover their truth and build a life that is successful and truly meaningful.
